The IT4Innovations national supercomputing center provides Czech and foreign research teams from academia and industry with state-of-the-art technologies and services in the field of high-performance computing, numerical simulations, data analysis, artificial intelligence, advanced visualizations and virtual reality. We currently operate EuroHPC petascale supercomputer Karolina and other HPC systems. Further, we are a hosting entity for one of the six EuroHPC quantum computers. With our partners from the IQM company we are in process of deploying unique European quantum computer. The quantum computer qubits are based on superconducting technology and interconnected in star-shape topology. The quantum computer will be operational in the period 2025–2029 and will serve researchers from Czech and international scientific community. The IT4Innovations is also a research center with five research laboratories and strong international links, employing more than 150 scientific and administrative staff.
