It is no exaggeration to say that the year 2019 will surely rank among those very significant and successful years in our center‘s history. Success was achieved in the field of research, supercomputing infrastructure development, cooperation with industry, and education, all of which are the main pillars of our activity. PRACE 22nd Call for Proposals for Project Access
The 22nd PRACE Call for Proposals for Project Access is open till October 27, 2021. The allocation of awarded resources on Tier-0 systems is made for 1 year at a time with its utilization starting on April 1, 2021.
Applicants can apply for a 12-month plan (Single-year Project) or a 24 or 36-month plan (Multi-year Project).

Mobility Atlas
Our colleagues from the Advanced Data Analysis and Simulation Lab led by Miroslav Vozňák are involved in implementing a unique project to develop a primary data passing interface to monitor population mobility in the territory of the Czech Republic with respect to the current spread of Covid-19 disease. This data is processed from anonymous operating data collected by T-Mobile CZ using the services of IT4Innovations.
20th Open Access Grant Competition
Institutions can apply for computational resources within Open Access Grant Competitions. The grant competition is announced 3 times a year (February, June, October) for employees of research, scientific and educational organizations.
Research and developlment support service
IT4Innovations inform about research and development support service, which is provided as part of the international POP2 Centre of Excellence project within the H2020 program.
The warranty support for Anselm from the supplier is to end on May 18, 2020
On May 18, it will be seven years since our first supercomputer Anselm was fully put into operation. During this time at IT4Innovations, it has completed millions of core hours of calculations on many interesting projects.

The new supercomputer in Ostrava is called Barbora
In Ostrava, on Wednesday the 2nd of October 2019, the ceremony for the new supercomputer being put into operation at IT4Innovations National Supercomputing Center at VSB - Technical University of Ostrava was held. It has expanded the family of supercomputers installed at the centre. The winning name of the competition was Barbora.
